Palestine has four senior football players who are set to sign with colleges on National Signing Day, according to the Wildcat coaching staff.

As previously reported by ETSN.fm, running back Jadarrius Beasley is headed to Arizona Western College, a JUCO Division I program in Yuma, Ariz, that finished 2012 ranked No. 7 in the nation. Defensive tackle Walter Sheridan, however, has switched his commitment from NCAA Division II Henderson State to Trinity Valley Community College, a JUCO Division I program.

The 6-foot-1, 260-pound Sheridan will join Palestine defensive back Paul Barksdale at Trinity Valley. Defensive back Ivory Brown has committed to Tyler Junior College to round out the four-player Palestine class.

Beasley, a 5-foot-10, 170-pounder, ran for 875 yards and eight touchdowns on 88 carries in 2012, which saw the Wildcats finish 7-4 with a first-round playoff appearance. Sheridan had 38 tackles, 10 for loss, two sacks, and three forced fumbles.

The 5-foot-8, 160-pound Barksdale had 66 tackles, one sack, one interception, and five pass breakups as a defensive back. Offensively, he ran ran 31 times for 333 yards and one touchdown and caught 17 passes for 254 yards and five scores.

Brown, a 6-foot-1, 180-pounder, led Palestine with five interceptions and nine pass breakups, in addition to his 44 tackles, four forced fumbles, and two defensive touchdowns.
