Mount Pleasant athletic director and head football coach Mart Graham has resigned after four seasons on the job.

The story was first reported by David Smoak, via his Twitter account early Tuesday afternoon.

Graham, who according to a report will remain in the school district, went 16-24 in his time at Mount Pleasant, including this season's 4-6 finish that resulted in the Tigers missing the playoffs for the third time in his four-year tenure.

Mount Pleasant entered 2013 with high expectations after going 8-3 last season, its highest single-season win total since 1997. But a rash of injuries to key players on both sides of the ball derailed the season for the Tigers, who lost six of their final seven games after beginning 3-0.
