GRAND SALINE -- Gracie Pendergrass scored a team-best 24 kills for Alba-Golden in a 27-25, 21-25, 25-12 12-25, 15-3. Bethany Carson also hit double digits in the Lady Panthers' victory with eight kills and five blocks.

RUSK -- Carthage hopped to 2-0 in District 16-4A competition and elevated its overall record to 25-6 Tuesday with a 25-21, 25-13, 25-12 victory at Rusk. Alli Capps and Faith Landreneaux both reached double-digit scoring in the contest. Capps recorded 15 kills and Landreneaux scored on 11 kills.

EUSTACE -- Quitman remained perfect through its first round of District 12-3A competition Friday with a 20-25, 25-17, 25-18, 25-23 win at Eustace. Kaci Raley scored a team-best 20 points on 15 kills, four aces and one block in the four-set contest. Molly Tanner also reached double digits with 11 kills and three blocks for the winning side.

WHITE OAK -- Beckville had a big day at the White Oak tournament, including a two-set victory against Lufkin from Class 6A. The Ladycats' Friday began with a 25-19, 25-16 victory against Paris North Lamar ahead of facing Lufkin. Kinley Blair led the team with eight points scored on five kills, two blocks and an ace. Riley Seegers scored seven points in the match.

FORNEY -- Emory Rains defeated North Forney to open Gold Bracket play Saturday at the Forney I.S.D. Tournament, but dropped matches to Class 6A opponents Mesquite Horn and Dickinson for a fourth place finish. Charlotte Bradshaw led the Lady Cats in scoring against North Forney in a 25-27, 25-16, 25-14 victory with 16 kills...

PRICE -- Hayley Jordan scored 21 points to lead the way for Carlisle in a 25-19, 9-25, 25-13, 23-25, 15-2 win Friday against Jacksonville from Class 5A. With the win, Carilise, a Class 2A team, elevated its overall record to 10-8.
