TEXARKANA -- A scoring drought nearly eight minutes long sunk Hallsville in its District 15-5A game against Texas High.
The Bobcats took a 9-4 lead to start the game, but the team went scoreless through the next 7:58. In that span, the Tigers went on a 23-0 run and ran away with a 69-45 victory.

TENAHA -- Laneville got good production out of its players Wednesday in the championship round of the Tenaha Holiday Hoops Tournament. Kountze just performed at a higher level in an 83-55 win.
TENAHA -- Laneville didn't have many problems Tuesday in the Tenaha Holiday Hoops tournament semifinal against a larger White Oak team.
The Yellowjackets won the meeting, 59-27, and will play Kountze at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday for the pre-district tournament title. Kountze defeated Laneville in the championship round last season.
LANEVILLE -- The Yellowjackets started working on their District 28-A schedule Friday and hammered Wells, 91-32, in Laneville.
Four players got into double digits in the rout.
NEW CHAPEL HILL -- Jeffery Minor, Sir Cederic Suell, Andrew Anderson and Kris Davis were just too much for Pine Tree to overcome in the Bulldogs' 61-47 home win.
Minor and Suell scored 14 points each and Anderson chipped in another 12 for Chapel Hill. Davis rounded out Bulldogs double-digit scorers with 10 points.
