Tuesday Basketball: Carlisle Girls Edge Overton

CARLISLE-- The Carlisle girl's basketball team defeated Overton, 50-45 on Tuesday night.

The Lady Indians Megan Beene, who scored 16 points and also corralled seven rebounds. Meanwhile, Callie Gray added 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Next up for Carlisle is a matchup with Hawkins at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Bullard Girls Trounce Chapel Hill

BULLARD-- Bullard left no question on Tuesday, defeating Chapel Hill, 57-33, at home.

Erin Berry led the Lady Panthers with 21 points -- all of which came on 3-pointers -- while Allie Kirgan was next with 16.

Karla Duhon led Chapel Hill with 12.

Bullard improved to 22-7 with the victory and will next face Spring Hill on Friday.

Oakwood defeats Slocum

ELKHART -- Slocum couldn't quite contain Oakwood, falling 61-56 on Tuesday.

Jacob Lane led the Mustangs with 16 and Taylor Hunt had 12.

Slocum dropped to 14-9, while Oakwood earned just its third victory of the season.

Oakwood next has a game with Laneville on Saturday, while Slocum will take on Avalon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
