Tuesday Volleyball Roundup: Beckville Gets A Sweep + Winona Puts Up Great Stats

HAWKINS -- Beckville kept rolling Tuesday.

The Lady Bearcats defeated Hawkins, 25-6, 25-11, 25-14, and improved their record to 21-4.

Carson Blair and Cassie Elizondo led the way with nine kills each. Elizondo's success rate on spikes was 100 percent.

Kinley Blair scored six kills and six aces in the win. She was followed by Carley Lawhorn's four scores on serves.

Carson Blair and Kassidy Alexander both served three aces in the match.

Alexander put up a team-best 24 assists in the sweep.

Beckville will visit Jefferson on Friday in a varsity-only meeting for its non-district finale.

Hawkins will be back in action Friday at Sabine.

WINONA -- Winona scored a 25-16, 16-25, 25-17, 25-12, win against Carlisle Tuesday at home.

Bailey Daniels had a fantastic night for the Lady Wildcats with 28 assists and 16 digs.

Kawaii Gordon led the team in scoring with 19 kills and 19 digs.

Janeth Tarango, Danielle Goodson and Mallori Shacklett also recorded double-digit dig figures in the four-set win.
