Week 4 2A Poll: New Boston, Troup Climb As Tatum, Newton Hold Top 2 Spots

Idle teams Tatum and Newton kept the top two spots, but New Boston and Troup leaped into the top four of the ETSN.fm Week 4 2A Top 10 following big wins.

New Boston improved to 4-0 with a 38-24 win against Paris North Lamar, which vaulted the Lions from fifth to third in the weekly poll. Troup remained unbeaten with an impressive 33-13 win at Arp, which pushed Troup (4-0) from eighth to fourth.

The loss dropped Arp (2-2) from fourth to ninth.

Daingerfield (2-2) fell two spots to No. 5 following its 43-14 loss to Gilmer, while Hughes Springs (3-0; idle) and Jefferson (4-0; def. Hooks, 51-21) kept their No. 6 and No. 7 rankings, respectively. Mount Vernon improved to 4-0 and made its first appearance in the poll following a 42-7 blowout of Winnsboro, which fell from No. 9 out of the poll with the loss.

Another newcomer is No. 10 White Oak, which re-enters the poll following a 49-14 win against Ore City.
