Alto’s Vi’Dareous High the ETSN.fm + Dairy Queen Offensive Player of the Week

To say it's been a fast start for the Alto Yellowjackets under first-year head coach Ricky Joe Meeks would be an understatement.

And sophomore running back Vi'Dareous High put an exclamation point on Alto's 3-0 start to 2018 with an incredible rushing performance in his team's 32-14 win over New Diana last Friday night.

High carried the ball 41 times for 420 yards and five touchdowns, earning ETSN.fm/Dairy Queen Offensive Player of the Week honors. He follows last week's winner, Texas High QB Coltin Clack.

Alto's three wins have come against Class 3A Palestine Westwood (48-28), 2017 2A Division II regional finalist Timpson (51-27), and New Diana, which reached the 3A Division II state quarterfinals last year.

High and the Yellowjackets play host to Garrison (1-2) on Friday night.
