Jacorey Ware seemed to know where Whitehouse quarterback Jake Clemons was throwing this past Friday.

The Bulldogs were in a tight battle with Whitehouse through the first half, but used defense, led by Ware, and three touchdowns in the third quarter to pull away.

Ware intercepted Clemons three times in Carthage's 42-20 victory against the Wildcats. He forced 75 percent of Carthage's turnovers.

That's what earned him the Week 3 ETSN.fm + Dairy Queen Defensive Player of the Week. He follows Linden-Kildare's Ty Patterson, who was the Week 2 DPOTW.

Carthage (3-0), the No. 1 school in 4A, has a matchup at No. 2 Gilmer (3-0) at 7 p.m. Saturday.
