It's safe to say Carthage senior running back Keaontay Ingram wasn't happy with his rushing output against Henderson two weeks ago.

He took that out on Kilgore last Friday night.

Ingram ran for a season-best 276 yards and five touchdowns in leading top-ranked Carthage to a 50-20 rout of Kilgore to take over sole possession of first place in District 9-4A Division I.

For his efforts, Ingram is the ETSN.fm/Dairy Queen Offensive Player of the Week. He follows last week's winner, Tenaha quarterback C.J. Horn.

Ingram, the University of Texas commit, did his damage against Kilgore on only 21 carries and did not play in the fourth quarter. He was held to a season-low 62 yards against Henderson the week before.

For the season, Ingram has run for 962 yards and 13 touchdowns on 106 attempts. He also has 12 receptions for 125 yards and a score for unbeaten Carthage (6-0, 2-0).

Ingram his Bulldogs teammates continue their season Friday night at Center (2-5, 2-1). Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
