Cedric White + Tatum Begin District With Rout of Diboll

DIBOLL -- Cedric White rushed for 154 yards and four touchdowns, leading Tatum to an easy 38-7 win over Diboll in the District 8-4A Division II opener for both teams Friday night at Lumberjack Stadium.

White's first two touchdowns -- runs of 29 and 7 yards -- gave Tatum a 12-0 first-quarter lead, and his 35-yard scoring dash pushed Tatum's lead to 25-7 midway through the second.

His final score of the night came early in the fourth quarter.

Tatum (5-2, 1-0) also found the end zone a 70-yard kickoff return by Keshoyn Alexander in the first quarter, and Alexander's 24-yard touchdown run in the fourth.

Desmond Shelby, who led Diboll (1-6, 0-1) with 86 yards on 17 carries, scored the Lumberjacks' only touchdown with a 4-yard run in the second quarter.

Tatum plays host to Rusk next Friday night, while Diboll plays at Huntington.
