Despite a pair of losses among the top four, Nos. 1-4 remained the same in this week's ETSN.fm East Texas Class 6A/5A poll.

John Tyler (5-2) held onto the No. 1 ranking despite a last-second 30-27 loss at Ennis last Friday night, and Tyler Lee (3-4) remained at No. 4 following a 62-54 home loss to Garland. Lufkin (4-3) and Longview held steady and second and third, respectively, after each took home comfortable wins last week.

Sulphur Springs (4-3) leapt three spots to No. 6 after its 49-42 victory over Hallsville, while Whitehouse (4-3) moved up a spot to No. 5 following a 38-35 win at Corsicana.

Nacogdoches (5-2) fell two spots to No. 7 after its five-OT loss to Jacksonville, Texas High (4-3) slipped a position to No. 8 after a 38-20 loss to Longview. Marshall (4-3) is up one spot to No. 9 after its 42-17 rout of Greenville, while Hallsville slipped two spots to No. 10.
