Garrison is one of the teams that will benefit most from the recent reclassifications.

The Bulldogs, who were 3A D-II in 2017, drop down to 2A D-I this season. This comes after a regional semifinal appearance in the playoffs and the team returns 12 starters.

Sebastion Porter is back at running back after rushing for 675 yards in 2017. He is joined by defensive lineman Wyatt Reneau, who had 32 tackles this past season. Those two will be the leaders for their respective units.

Garrison is in a tough district, with Tenaha, Simpson and Linden-Kildare. Fighting for a playoff spot will not be easy. However, with the talent returning and the knowledge that they played better competition in 2017, the Bulldogs should be on of the better teams in 2A.
