BECKVILLE -- It was another sweep for Beckville.

Gary was the latest victim of the Ladycats, falling by scores of 25-4, 25-12 and 25-12 on Friday.

Jordan Tondreau led Beckville with 13 kills while Miranda Mize added eight. Kinley Pepper had the team lead with 29 assists and Courtlyn Nail finished with 11 digs.

Beckville improved to 31-7 and 8-0 in District 20-2A with the victory. The Ladycats will next face Carlisle at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in Carlisle.

Carlisle sweeps Shelbyville

CARLISLE -- The Lady Indians completed another sweep, taking out Shelbyville by scores of 25-16, 25-14 and 25-18 on Friday night.

Heather Craig again led Carlisle with 22 kills, four aces and three blocks. Tori Esters finished with 20 assists while Hagan Grigsby had 14 digs.

Carlisle will next face Gary at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday on the road.

Tatum takes out New Diana in five 

NEW DIANA -- Tatum needed five sets, it took out New Diana on Friday.

The Lady Eagles won the second, fourth and fifth sets by scores of 25-20, 25-12 and 15-6, respectively.

Essence Allen was all over the court, leading the team with 19 kills, 15 assists, 17 digs and nine blocks. Ashton Brown finished with 18 assists, 15 kills and eight blocks.  Adrianna Bradley also had 17 digs.

Tatum improved to 24-6 and 8-0 in District 15-3A. The Lady Eagles will next face Dangerfield at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Tatum.

Quitman defeats Grand Saline 

QUITMAN -- The Lady Bulldogs earned a victory against Grand Saline on Friday.

Quitman won the first, second and fifth sets by scores of 25-20, 25-16 and 15-13. Madalyn Spears led the team with 19 kills and Jentri Jackson finished with 13 in the victory. Shelby Hayes had 48 assists and Lindsey Hornaday added 26 digs.

Quitman improved to 21-11 and 7-1 in District 13-3A with the victory. The Lady Bulldogs will next face Rains at 5 p.m. Tuesday in Quitman.

Alba-Golden handles Mineola in four

MINEOLA -- Alba-Golden won in four games against Mineola on Friday.

The Lady Yellowjackets lost in the first, third and fourth sets. Ginny Carson led the team with 20 kills, 2 blocks, and 6 digs. Madi Byrant followed with 10 kills, 1 block and 3 digs. Macie Pendergrass, Lauren Crump and Kalli Wright all had 3 kills a piece. Bralee Littlejohn led with 21 assist.

The Lady Panthers will next face Quitman at 4:30 p.m. Friday in Alba.
