MARSHALL -- The Marshall Mavericks remained unbeaten on the season with a 45-19 win over Greenville in District 15-5A action Friday night at Maverick Stadium.

With the win, Marshall (4-0 in 15-5A)) improved to 7-0 for the first time since 1996.

Senior quarterback Justin Hart only competed three passes, but all three were good for touchdowns to Trel Patton covering a total of 97 yards.

Marshall running backs Chavis Mills and Cameron Haller helped the Mavs amass more than 300 rushing yards on the night. Mills led the way with 142 yards and two touchdowns, while Haller added 118 yards.

Haller also threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Clayton Garrett.

Carandal Hale led Greenville (2-5, 1-3), which trailed 42-13 at halftime, with 172 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Each returns to action next Friday night. Greenville entertains Hallsville (4-3, 2-2), while Marshall travels to Texarkana to take on Texas High (5-2, 3-1).
