ELYSIAN FIELDS -- Mikechell Potts scored on two long touchdowns, Michael Roberson ran for a 28-yard score and Gabe Reynolds returned an interception 45 yards for a TD in Arp's 43-13 victory over Elysian Fields on Friday night.

Arp (2-1) fell behind 7-0 just three minutes into the game, but built a 27-13 halftime lead thanks in part to a 60-yard TD pass from Chase Bonner to Potts and a 73-yard run by Potts.

Roberson's score and Reynolds' pick-six punctuated a dominant victory for Arp.

"Our kids played physical," Arp coach Dale Irwin said. "We battled through adverse conditions with the weather; we didn't start until about 8:15 or 8:30. To beat EF at EF is a big win."

The Tigers face longtime rival Troup at home next week, while Elysian Fields (1-2) is off next week before beginning District 9-2A Division II play on Sept. 28 against Linden-Kildare.
