Nine East Texas Baseball Players Chosen to Participate in THSBCA All-Star Games

Nine East Texas players have been selected to participate in the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association all-star games Saturday at Round Rock's Dell Diamond.

Hallsville's Ronnie Gideon, a Texas A&M signee, has been selected to the Class 5A-4A North team.

Gilmer's Dylan Bowman and Hughes Springs' Zach Bassham were chosen for the 3A-A North team, while Quitman's Lenzie Foley was taken as an at-large selection.

There are five area players representing the 3A-A South team: Carlisle's Gunner Baker, Lufkin Hudson's Riley Smith, Nacogdoches Central Heights' Alex Phillips, Elkhart's Levi Smith and Rusk's Michael Crews.
