After losing three of its first four games of the 2018 season, the Palestine Wildcats needed to head into their bye week on a positive note.

Mission accomplished.

Palestine was able to knock off previously unbeaten Crandall, 30-14, in the Wildcats' final non-district game of the year. And junior running back Jeremiah Davis led the way.

Davis rushed for 300 yards and three touchdowns on 34 carries. For his efforts, he is the ETSN.fm/Dairy Queen Offensive Player of the Week. He follows last week's winner, Longview quarterback Haynes King.

The Palestine running back has only been able to participate in three of his team's five games this season, but made up for lost time last Friday night.

For the year, Davis has rushed for 427 yards and three TD's.

Palestine (2-3) opens District 10-4A Division I play Oct. 12 at Henderson (3-2).
