Powerful Running Game Propels Eustace to 58-15 Win Over Kemp in District Opener

EUSTACE -- The Eustace Bulldogs rolled up 520 rushing yards in a 58-15 win over Kemp on Friday night in the District 7-2A Division I opener for both teams.

Four different Eustace (4-1, 1-0) ball carriers eclipsed the 100-yard mark. Keenan Hargest led the way with 133 yards and two touchdowns on nine attempts. Jesus Barcenas added 124 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries, Clay Carson chipped in with 111 yards and two touchdowns on six carries and Lance Rogers had eight carries for 104 yards and a score.

Eustace outgained Kemp (0-5, 0-1) on the night, 529-257.

The Bulldogs' season continues next Friday at Malakoff.
