Tatum Clinches Third Place In District With 3-0 Shutout Of Spring Hill

LONGVIEW -- The Tatum Eagles nailed down the third seed from District 16-4A with a 3-0 shutout of Spring Hill in the regular-season finale for both teams Tuesday night.

Tatum will compete in the playoffs in its first year as a UIL-sanctioned program. The Eagles will face Mabank at 7:30 p.m. Thursday from Whitehouse in a 4A Region II bi-district playoff.

Ricardo Rodriguez got the scoring started for Tatum, and that was followed by Horacio Cadena goal off a corner kick. The final tally of the night came from Lorenzo Luna, who chipped a shot over the Spring Hill keeper's head.
