NEW CHAPEL HILL -- The Chapel Hill Lady Bulldogs outlasted Rusk, 23-25, 25-15, 25-18, 22-25, 15-6, in non-district volleyball action Tuesday.

Kamryn Wages led Chapel Hill on the night with 20 kills. Starla Starks added seven kills, Maddy Wages had 43 assists and 13 digs, while LaKeyvia Hill finished with 17 digs.

Chapel Hill opens District 16-4A play Friday at Gilmer.

 

Tatum Sweeps Henderson

TATUM -- The Tatum Lady Eagles finished non-district with a 25-16, 25-22, 25-12 sweep of Henderson on Tuesday.

Ashton Brown led Tatum (15-6) with 10 kills, 12 assists, and eight digs. Essence Allen added nine kills, eight assists, and eight digs, while Jasmine Rogers had nine digs and went 24-of-24 from the service line.

Tatum opens District 15-3A at Elysian Fields on Friday.

 

Beckville Overpowers Gilmer

BECKVILLE -- The Beckville Ladycats rolled to a 25-7, 25-10, 25-21 sweep of Gilmer on Tuesday.

Jordan Tondreau led Beckville (23-7) with 11 kills, an ace, and 12 digs. Miranda Mize added nine kills, a block, six digs, and one ace, Payton Jones had five kills, four blocks, two aces, and 16 digs, Allison Baker finished with five kills, one ace, and seven digs, Kinley Pepper registered 33 assists to go with 33 assists, three aces, and three digs, while Courtlyn Nail chipped in with 10 digs and an ace.

Beckville hosts Shelbyville in the District 20-2A opener on Friday.

 

Carlisle Edges Ore City

ORE CITY -- The Carlisle Lady Indians outlasted Ore City, 18-25, 25-17, 22-25, 25-19, 15-6, on Tuesday.

Heather Craig led Carlisle with 26 kills, two blocks, and 10 digs. Camdyn Gray added six kills and three aces, Emily Pendleton had six kills, while Jailin Kee finished with 21 assists and five digs.

Carlisle plays host to Timpson on Friday in the District 20-2A opener.
