Basketball Roundup: Spring Hill Tops Intra-City Foe Pine Tree + More

LONGVIEW -- Clay Lattier scored 24 points to lead Spring Hill to a 58-51 win against Pine Tree on Friday.

Jordan Phelan added 15 points for the Panthers, who visit Hallsville at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Ben Brundrett scored seven points. Matt Williams had five points.

Caleb Chumley led Pine Tree (1-1) with 16 points, while Trever Barker added 12. Garrett Rayburn scored 11, and Victor Hawkins had five.

Pine Tree hosts Class 2A No. 1 White Oak on Tuesday.

Jacksonville builds halftime lead to beat Longview, 73-54

LONGVIEW -- Jacksonville gained a 13-point halftime lead to hold off Longview in a 73-54 victory Friday at Lobo Coliseum.

Longview's D'Keilon Lynch scored 22 points. Whitehouse hosts Longview on Monday.

Sabine cruises to 56-17 win vs. Neches

LIBERTY CITY -- Three Cardinals scored in double figures to lead Sabine to an easy 56-17 win against Neches on Friday.

Sabine's Ashley Dukes scored a game-high 16 points, while Hayden Zuniga and Cody Sauce added 12 and 10, respectively.

Tyler T.K. Gorman hosts Sabine on Monday.

Union Grove notches 46-39 win vs. Harmony

UNION GROVE -- Three players scored 11 points apiece to lead Union Grove to a 46-39 victory against Harmony on Friday.

Tyler Owens, Kyle Cotton, and Triston Thompson each scored 11 for the Lions (2-0), who got eight points from Thomas Rogers. Harmony's Seth Seabolt scored a game-high 15 points.
