Friday Basketball Roundup: Whitehouse Scores District-Opening Win Over Lindale + More

LINDALE -- The Whitehouse Wildcats earned a 55-45 win over Lindale in the District 16-5A opener on Friday night.

Javier Neal led Whitehouse (12-5, 1-0) with 22 points, while Justus Carnahan added 17.

Lindale (10-4, 0-1) was led by Jordan Gray's 21 points. Tayton Williams chipped in with 10 points.

Harmony Too Much For Linden-Kildare

LINDEN -- The Harmony Eagles rolled to a 69-52 over Linden-Kildare on Friday.

Dalton Brenner hit five 3-pointers and finished with a team-high 23 points for Harmony (8-5). Waymon Lay added 16 points, while Spencer Seahorn finished with 10 points.

Linden-Kildare was led in defeat by Marcus Jones, who scored 16 points. Ja'Kevian Rose chipped in with 14.

Winona Cruises Past Quitman

WINONA -- The Winona Ladycats evened their District 14-3A record with a 60-38 rout of Quitman on Friday.

Randaysha Hanson led the way for Winona (9-3, 1-1) with 19 points, eight rebounds, and 10 steals. Nichole Garrett added 18 points, nine boards, and four steals.

Winona's season continues Dec. 29-31 at the Macy Chenevert Classic in Tyler.

Bullard Downs Brownsboro

BROWNSBORO -- The Bullard Panthers earned a 39-32 win over Brownsboro on Friday.

Lexi Kirgan led the way with 24 points, while Hannah Lloyd contributed seven points.

Carthage Edges Beckville

BECKVILLE -- The Carthage Lady Bulldogs earned a hard-fought 39-38 win over Beckville on Friday.

Erin Cutrer led Carthage with 13 points.

Beckville was led in defeat by Madi Mize, who finished with 22 points, four rebounds, and two steals. Chelcie Pierce added seven points and four boards.

Beckville returns to action Jan. 5 at home against San Augustine.
