NACOGDOCHES -- The Whitehouse Wildcats forced a tie atop the District 17-5A standings with a 49-44 win over Nacogdoches, Friday night.

Javier Neal led Whitehouse (21-9, 7-2) with 16 points, while McKade Marquis added 15 points, helping tie the Wildcats with Nacogdoches for first place.

Both teams conclude the regular season Tuesday. Whitehouse hosts Jacksonville, while Nacogdoches travels to Corsicana.

 

Winona Takes Down Sabine

WINONA -- The Winona Wildcats earned a key 78-68 win over Sabine in District 15-3A action Friday night.

Braxton Kincade led Winona (9-4, 7-4) with 26 points, while Trey Johnson added 21 points.

Both teams conclude the regular season Tuesday. Winona plays at Troup, while Sabine (16-8, 7-4) plays host to Harmony.

 

Harmony Downs Cumberland

HARMONY -- The Harmony Eagles picked up a 64-55 win over Tyler Cumberland Academy on Friday in District 15-3A competition.

Spencer Seahorn carried Harmony (10-15, 3-8) with 25 points, while Nathan Brenner and Waymon Lay added 15 points apiece.

Cumberland (0-12 in district) was led by George Kennedy, who scored 24 points. Sincere Norman added 10 points in defeat.

 

Slocum Routs Trinidad

TRINIDAD -- The Slocum Mustangs earned a 61-39 win over Trinidad in District 27-A action Friday.

Jacob Lane sparked Slocum (17-14, 6-3) with 21 points, which included four 3-pointers. Taylor Hunt chipped in with 17 points.

Slocum returns to action Tuesday at Milford.
