ARP -- The Nacogdoches Lady Dragons swept Arp 25-18, 25-11, 25-17 on Friday in a volleyball warm-up match at Arp High School.

Arp (15-23) was led in defeat by India Holland, who finished with six kills, nine digs and three aces. Tinikia Lacy added three kills, Kaci Kuykendall finished with two kills and three digs and Sierra Atchley dished out 10 assists to go with four digs.

The Lady Tigers begin the Class 2A playoffs with a bi-district match against No. 8 White Oak at 7 p.m. Tuesday from Kilgore High School. Meanwhile, Nacogdoches faces Red Oak on Monday in a Class 4A Region II bi-district playoff.

Rusk Knocks Off No. 28 Sabine

LIBERTY CITY -- The Rusk Lady Eagles defeated No. 28 Sabine 18-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-18 on Friday in a warm-up match at Sabine High School.

Sabine was led by Haley Stuart's 12 kills, five blocks and five digs. Shelby Burns contributed seven kills, two blocks and three digs, Brittany Terry added five kills, 15 digs and an ace, Skyllar Richter also had five kills to go with two blocks and six digs, Tylia Sylestine had three kills and 24 digs and the duo of Emily Ivins and Jayden Mount combined for 29 assists, 17 digs and seven aces.

The Lady Cardinals (29-10) face Tatum in a Class 2A Region III bi-district playoff at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Spring Hill High School in Longview. Rusk, meanwhile, opens the 3A playoffs Monday against Huntington.

Beckville Sweeps Tatum

TATUM -- Beckville earned a 29-27, 25-23, 25-22 sweep of Class 2A-No. 25 Tatum on Friday in a warm-up match at Eagle Coliseum.

Beckville (28-4), ranked No. 9 in the latest Texas Girls Coaches Association Class A poll, was led by Carson Blair's 10 kills, 15 digs and two aces. Taylor Lindsay added seven kills, 15 digs and two aces, Ivy Rieke had six kills, two blocks, two assists and six digs, Carley Lawhorn had five kills, a block and five digs, Cassie Elizondo contributed four kills and Kassidy Alexander assisted on 18 points and had eight digs.

Beckville, the District 20-A champion, has a first-round bye in the playoffs.
