WELLS -- Gary, behind a huge performance from Colton Coleman, earned a 72-65 victory over Chireno on Thursday at the Wells Tournament.

Coleman was 11-of-13 from beyond the 3-point line and finished with 43 points. He was also 6-of-7 from the free-throw line.

Josh Bowen added 19 points in the win for Gary (2-0).

No. 13 LaPoynor Takes Down Woden

NEW SUMMERFIELD -- The No. 13 LaPoynor Flyers improved to 2-0 on the season with a 49-43 victory over Woden on Thursday at the New Summerfield Tournament.

Octavious Creer led the way with 10 points, four rebounds and two assists. Mason Motal added 10 points, James Jackson had nine points and eight rebounds and Cton Clair finished with eight points, three boards and three assists.

No. 21 Martin's Mill Blows Past MP Chapel Hill

NEW SUMMERFIELD -- The 21st-ranked Martin's Mill Mustangs took a 67-38 decision over Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill on Thursday at the New Summerfield Tournament.

Hunter Conway led the Mustangs (2-0) with 19 points. Micah Bragdon added 12 points, while Drew Ingram finished with 10. Ingram, July Latimer and Davis Moore each hit one 3-pointer in the win.

No. 6 Bullard Wins Twice at Miller Grove Tourney

MILLER GROVE -- The sixth-ranked Bullard Lady Panthers remained unbeaten on the season with a pair of victories Thursday at the Miller Grove Tournament.

Bullard defeated Cumby, 66-9, and host Miller Grove, 69-13.

Bridgette Taylor led the way against Cumby with 18 points. She was followed by Maddy Slayter and Lexi Kirgan, who finished with 15 and 14 points, respectively.

Taylor had points 19 to lead Bullard (4-0) past Miller Grove. Slayter finished with 16, Lexi Abercrombie added 13 and Kirgan chipped in with 12 points. Taylor and Slayter had four 3-pointers apiece.

Frankston Defeats Tenaha At Slocum Tournament

ELKHART -- The Frankston Maidens scored a 53-38 win over Tenaha on Thursday at the Slocum Tournament.

Latesha Gray led Frankston (1-0) with 14 points, five assists and seven steals. Chasity Cooper added 11 points, six rebounds and two steals, Natasia Warren had eight points and Autumn Kummer finished with six points and 10 rebounds.
