TYLER -- The Lindale Lady Eagles ran their record to 12-0 with three wins Thursday at the Tyler Tournament.

Lindale defeated Alba-Golden 25-10, 25-13, Van 20-25, 25-13, 25-23 and Henderson 25-16, 22-25, 25-15.

Kaitlin Rice led Lindale against Alba-Golden with seven kills. Zhanelle Geathers added five kills and three blocks, Makenna Allen had five kills, Rhyan Rand supplied four kills and Sydney Tiiman dished out 20 assists.

Against Van, Geathers had nine kills and two blocks. Allen came through with six kills, 10 digs and three aces, Travicia Acy added four kills and a block, Rice had a pair of kills and seven digs and Tiiman provided four kills and 21 assists.

Geathers had nine kills, three blocks and four aces in the victory over Henderson. Allen finished with six kills, seven digs and two aces, Rand had five kills and Tiiman racked up 18 assists.

Lindale returns to action at John Tyler High School at 11 a.m. Saturday in the championship bracket.

Whitehouse Wins Twice on First Day

The Whitehouse LadyCats went 2-1 in pool play on the first day of the Tyler Tournament on Thursday.

Whitehouse defeated Marshall 25-11, 25-20, lost to Paris North Lamar 25-20, 18-25, 28-26 and defeated Nacogdoches Central Heights 25-9, 25-10.

Against Marshall, Ashton Ates led the way with six kills. Lindsey Hannah added five kills, Ronnie Fountain finished with 15 assists, while Kelly Keller and Amanda Dimon had three aces apiece.

In the loss to North Lamar, Ates and Megan Harris each had 10 kills, Keller had eight, Kaitlyn Anderson added seven, Fountain dishes out 33 assists and Diana Dimon had four aces.

Keller had six kills to lead Whitehouse in its win over Central Heights. Ates contributed five kills and Fountain provided 13 assists.

Whitehouse finished second in its pool and will complete in the gold bracket Saturday at Tyler Lee High School.

Eustace Goes 2-1 in Pool Play

The Eustace Lady Bulldogs were 2-1 on Thursday in pool play at the Tyler Tournament, defeating Teague 25-15, 25-21 and Longview 25-23, 25-17 before falling to Pleasant Grove, 25-21, 21-25, 25-9.

In the win over Teague, Peyton Dibari led the way four kills, while Caitlyn Culp added three. Against Longview, Culp had four kills, while Crystal Garza and Grace Holcombe had four assists apiece. In the losing effort to Pleasant Grove, Dibari had four kills and Culp provided three.

Eustace returns to action Saturday in Tyler.
