We're just a few weeks away from our second annual ETSN.fm + APEC Football Recruiting Combine, powered by Azalea Orthopedics, and all our attendees have plenty to look forward to as we make this year's combine even bigger and better.

On Sunday, June 1, more than 100 of East Texas' top football recruits will converge on APEC training facility in Tyler to show off their skills in front of their peers and national recruiting websites.

In addition to all the features of the combine we experienced last year, we're thrilled to be partnering with APEC yet again to add even more elements to this year's event.

New Things to Expect at This Year's Combine

  • A brand new (and awesome) logo and MVP/position awards
  • Every athlete who competes will receive a new (and, of course, awesome) Nike Compression shirt to compete in.
  • The air conditioner is now fixed at APEC!
  • New testing. We've added new testing and updated others with APEC to make the experience better for every athlete.
  • New and expanded position drills and -- the big one -- one-on-ones for all positions.
  • New format for our quarterback competition.

"I am challenging all the invitees to take this seriously. We all love to represent East Texas and we need the best of the best to show up and put up numbers. I don’t care if you have 30-plus offers, bring it on June 1st to show who how dominant we/you really are," APEC director Bobby Stroupe said. "If you are a true competitor than you can stake your claim to be the East Texas MVP. This is your event and we expect you to take pride in it. This is a fast surface and you have a chance to nail good times, etc."

This combine serves one purpose, and one purpose only: to showcase the true football talent we have here in East Texas to the masses. The ETSN.fm + APEC Football Recruiting Combine invites only East Texas players with the aspirations of getting our area players noticed and have the opportunity to play at the next level.

"Don’t forget what this combine is for -- to prove that East Texas has the BEST ATHLETES. We play second to NOBODY," Stroupe said. "Now show up ready and make a statement for yourself, your team, and East Texas. My team is ready. Are YOU?"
