Friday Volleyball Roundup: Whitehouse Takes Down John Tyler, Bullard Sweeps Kilgore + More

WHITEHOUSE — The Whitehouse LadyCats earned a 29-27, 20-25, 25-17, 25-23 win over John Tyler in District 16-4A action Friday.

Kelly Keller led the way with 12 kills. Lindsay Hannah added 10 kills, Megan Harris finished with nine kills, Ronnie Fountain delivered 39 assists and four aces and Amanda Dimon chipped in with 25 digs.

Whitehouse returns to action Tuesday at Nacogdoches.

Bullard Sweeps Kilgore

KILGORE — The Bullard Lady Panthers cruised to a 25-21, 25-23, 25-17 sweep of Kilgore in District 16-3A play Friday.

Mackenzie Fish led Bullard (19-12, 3-3) with 15 kills and 11 digs. Ashley Searcy added eight kills and four blocks, Maddy Davis had five kills and two aces, Madi Hodges had 16 digs, Katie Cole finished with seven digs and three aces and the duo of Mallory McCoy and Rachel Kelley combined for 30 assists.

Bullard’s season resumes Tuesday at Spring Hill.

Carthage Rolls Past Rusk

CARTHAGE — The Carthage Lady Dogs earned a 25-11, 31-29, 25-10 sweep of Rusk on Friday in non-district action.

Iesha Bryant led Carthage (26-8) with 13 kills. Marisah Ingram added 10 kills, Kenzie Tate dished out 30 assists and Morgan Wedgeworth finished with 19 digs.

Carthage returns to District 20-3A competition Tuesday at Center.

No. 18 Troup Eases Past Hawkins

HAWKINS — The No. 18 Troup Lady Tigers strolled to a 25-16, 25-19, 25-7 sweep of Hawkins on Friday in District 18-2A action.

Josee Ross led Troup with eight kills, four digs and seven aces. Cheney Cover added seven kills, five digs and five aces, Monet Hale provided four kills, three blocks and an ace, Paeton Nolan had three kills, two digs and four aces, Bethany Mason finished with 10 digs and three aces and Carly Dyess racked up 21 assists to go with two blocks.

Troup returns to action Tuesday at home against Frankston.

No. 14 White Oak Beats Union Grove in Four

WHITE OAK — No. 14 White Oak improved to 23-8 on the season and 6-0 in district play Friday with a 25-10, 21-25, 25-17, 25-8 home win against Union Grove behind 12 kills from Madison Pecot and 10 kills, three aces, and seven digs from Rebecca Green.

White Oak’s Taylor Tramel had seven kills and nine digs, while Cayman Sutton added 23 assists, two aces, and eight digs. Kayla McCoy had six kills.

Makenzie Goll led White Oak with 12 digs, while Kailee Simmons had three aces and 10 digs. Allison Goll added three aces.

White Oak visits New Diana on Tuesday. Union Grove hosts Tatum.

Sabine Too Much For Winona

LIBERTY CITY — The Sabine Lady Cardinals collected a 25-11, 25-13, 25-10 sweep of Winona in 18-2A action Friday.

Haley Stuart led Sabine (23-8, 5-2) with 15 kills, two blocks and four aces. Tylia Sylestine added seven kills, two assists, 14 digs and four aces, Shelby Burns had three kills, one block, 14 digs and two aces, Kasie Bell had three kills, three assists and a dig, Skyllar Richter finished with three kills, an assist and two digs and Jayden Mount dished out 21 assists to go along with four digs and five aces.

Sabine is back in action Tuesday at West Rusk.

Arp Sweeps Past West Rusk

NEW LONDON — The Arp Lady Tigers scored a 25-8, 25-5, 25-17 sweep of West Rusk in 18-2A play Friday.

Tinikia Lacy led Arp (11-19, 5-2) with nine kills. Megan Campbell added five kills, one digs and two aces, Kaci Kuykendall added four kills and one dig, India Holland had two kills, 10 digs and eight aces and Alicia Summers finished with 19 assists, six digs and one ace.

Gary Powers Past Big Sandy

GARY — Gary rolled to a 25-10, 25-22, 25-16 sweep of Big Sandy in District 20-A action Friday.

Collyn Pinkerton led the way for Gary (18-10, 4-2) with 15 kills, 10 blocks, two digs and three aces. Ryley Beckham added six kills and 19 digs, Bailey Reistad finished with six kills and 15 digs and Josey Greer had 28 assists, five digs and two aces.

Gary’s season resumes Tuesday at home against Timpson.

Tyler All Saints Wins at Dallas Shelton

DALLAS — Lanna Johnson’s 14 kills and Maddie Smith’s 36 assists led Tyler All Saints to a 25-8, 25-15, 25-11 sweep at Dallas Shelton on Thursday night.

All Saints, which improved to 4-2 in district, got 11 digs from Foster Hackney.

All Saints visits Tyler Bishop Gorman at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

SATURDAY

Quitman Sweeps Grand Saline

QUITMAN — The Quitman Lady Bulldogs earned a 25-17, 25-21, 25-16 sweep of Grand Saline on Saturday in District 14-2A action.

Quitman (18-12, 7-0) was led by Allison McKinley’s 13 kills and 15 digs. Kelsey Daniel added eight kills and 14 digs, Shelby Herring had eight kills, three digs and three aces, Alyssa Harris contributed five digs and two aces and Beth Noble dished out 31 assists to go with 15 digs and two aces.

The Lady Bulldogs continue their season Tuesday at home against Como-Pickton.
