MARSHALL -- The Carthage Lady Dogs captured the ETBU Tournament championship with a 3-0 run on Saturday.

Carthage (11-5) defeated Henderson 25-18, 25-18, Arp 25-16, 25-15 and Gilmer 25-14, 25-15.

The Lady Dogs continue their season Tuesday at Nacogdoches.

John Tyler Takes Third in Challenger Bracket

MARSHALL -- The John Tyler Lady Lions went 2-1 on Saturday to claim third place in the Challenger Bracket of the ETBU Tournament.

John Tyler defeated Timpson 25-9, 25-18, lost to Kilgore 25-23, 18-25, 25-18 and defeated Daingerfield 18-25, 25-11, 25-14.

The Lady Lions continue their season Tuesday at home with a tri-match against White Oak and Henderson.

Pine Tree Claims Consolation Title At Wills Point

WILLS POINT -- The Pine Tree Lady Pirates claimed the championship bracket's consolation title at the Wills Point Tournament on Saturday.

Pine Tree lost to Crandall 25-20, 25-19 but defeated Wills Point 21-25, 25-8, 25-16 to claim the consolation championship. The Lady Pirates went 2-1 in pool play Friday, defeating Quinlan Ford 25-16, 25-11 and Commerce 25-11, 25-16 before losing to Caddo Mills 19-25, 25-15, 15-10.

For the weekend, Kerri Johnson had 29 kills, 42 digs, two blocks, 53 points and 11 aces. Sky Holmes added 48 kills, 17 blocks, 17 digs, one assist, 26 points and 11 aces, Kennedy Sampson finished with 121 assists, 16 kills, five blocks, 40 digs, 17 points and five aces, Kabreshia Orange provided 30 kills, five blocks, 21 digs, one assist, 21 points and eight aces, while Gavyn Diviney had 10 kills, nine blocks, seven digs, four assists, 38 points and seven aces.

Pine Tree continues its season Tuesday at Spring Hill.

Beckville Wins Overton Tournament Title

OVERTON -- Beckville went 3-0 Saturday to win the Overton Tournament championship.

Beckville defeated Gary 25-20, 26-24, Bullard 28-26, 17-25, 25-16 and Sabine 25-23, 25-20.

In the win over Gary, Ivy Rieke had six kills, two blocks and seven digs to lead the way. Carson Blair added five kills and nine digs, Taylor Lindsay finished with three kills and seven digs, Carley Lawhorn had three kills and two blocks and Kassidy Alexander registered 13 assists and was 17-of-17 from the service line with two aces.

Blair had 10 kills, 14 digs and two aces in the win over Bullard. Lindsay added nine kills, a block, 12 digs and was 7-of-7 on serves with two aces, Rieke had five kills and eight digs, Lawhorn provided three kills and six blocks, while Alexander had 22 assists and eight digs.

In the championship win over Sabine, Rieke had five kills and nine digs. Blair added three kills, 12 digs and was 9-of-9 on serves with an ace, Lindsay provided three kills and Alexander finished with 12 assists, eight digs and was 8-for-8 from the service line with two aces.

Beckville plays at West Rusk on Tuesday.

Bullard Wins Twice At Overton Tournament

OVERTON -- The Bullard Lady Panthers were 2-1 on the final day of the Overton Tournament on Saturday.

Bullard defeated Waskom 25-15, 25-11, lost to Beckville 28-26, 17-25, 25-16 and defeated Cross Roads 25-17, 25-18.

In the win over Waskom, Mackenzie Fish had four kills and four digs. Maddy Davis added five digs and was 18-of-18 from service line with five aces, Ashley Searcy had four kills, one block and three aces and Rachel Kelley provided eight assists.

Searcy led the way in the loss to Beckville with five kills, four blocks and four aces. Davis finished with four kills and 13 digs, Katie Cole had 11 digs, Kelley had 12 assists, seven digs and two aces and Fish finished with seven kills, six digs and two aces.

Against Cross Roads, Mallory McCoy had six assists and four digs, Cole had nine digs, Fish came through with six kills and nine aces, while Katie Trezise added four kills.

Bullard (10-4) continues its season Tuesday at home against New Diana.

Eustace Goes 2-1 At Eustace Tournament

EUSTACE -- The Eustace Lady Bulldogs went 2-1 on the final day of the Eustace Tournament on Saturday.

Eustace defeated Bullard Brook Hill 25-17, 16-25, 25-16 and Kerens 25-20, 25-20 and lost to Mabank 25-17, 25-14.

In the win over Brook Hill, Caitlyn Culp led Eustace with 13 kills and two blocks. Peyton Dibari added nine kills and four assists, Crystal Garza had 14 assists and three aces and Raleigh Smallwood finished with 11 assists.

Dibari led Eustace in the victory over Kerens with eight kills and an ace. Culp added seven kills, while Garza and Smallwood combined for 17 assists.

In the lost to Mabank, Dibari had five kills, Culp added four and Garza provided five assists.

Eustace continues its season next weekend at the Tyler Tournament.

Ore City 1-1 On Final Day In Big Sandy

BIG SANDY -- The Ore City Lady Rebels went 1-1 on the final day of the Big Sandy Tournament on Saturday.

Ore City lost to Union Grove 25-21, 25-22 and defeated Longview Trinity Christian 25-14, 25-22. Senior Tyra Tatum was named to the all-tournament team.

The Lady Rebels are back in action next weekend at the Hughes Springs Tournament.
