Carlisle’s Walker Adams is the ETSN.fm + Dairy Queen Defensive Player of the Week

Walker Adams was relentless against Cushing on Friday.

Adams, a linebacker for Carlisle, finished with 13 tackles including two for loss, an interception, a forced fumble and a quarterback hurry in the Indians' 69-8 victory. Cushing was previously unbeaten.

For his efforts, Walker is the Week 7 ETSN.fm + Dairy Queen Defensive Player of the Week. He follows Emory Rains linebacker Eliya Garrett-Enis, who took the award in Week 6.

Carlisle is sitting at 6-0 and 1-0 in District 10-2A Division I. The Indians will next face Alto (4-2, 1-0) at  7:30 p.m. Friday in Price.
