The Alto Yellow Jackets had been quietly going about their business through the first three games of the season. But that was then.

Alto put together an offensive performance for the ages in last Friday's 72-21 dismantling of third-ranked Tenaha, and the 'Jackets quarterback was pushing the right buttons all night long.

Keenen Johnson is the ETSN.fm/Dairy Queen Offensive Player of the Week after the signal-caller totaled 467 yards of offense and accounted for seven touchdowns. Johnson ran for a season-best 327 yards and five touchdowns on 27 carries, and was 4 of 7 through the air for 140 yards and two more scores.

For the season, Johnson has rushed for 876 yards and 12 touchdowns on just 62 carries -- an average of 14.1 yards per carry. He's also 25 of 40 passing for 549 yards with nine touchdowns and one interception.

Alto rolled up 690 yards of total offense against Tenaha -- 550 on the ground. The 'Jackets are averaging 59.3 points and 503.8 yards per game on the year.

Alto (4-0), which entered the state's Associated Press Class 2A top 10 poll on Monday, is off this week, but begins District 11-2A Division I play on Oct. 10 at Grapeland.
