Mount Pleasant quarterback Montravious James has been putting up big numbers all season long, spending every week of the year at the top of the East Texas area passing leaders.

But the senior came through with his best game of the campaign in the Tigers' 54-49 win over Hallsville last Friday night, earning ETSN.fm + Dairy Queen Offensive Player of the Week honors.

James had 534 total yards of offense and accounted for eight touchdowns. He completed 33 of 45 passes for 429 yards and seven touchdowns to go with 105 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

His 33-yard touchdown run with less than two minutes to play proved to be the eventual game-winner for the Tigers (7-2, 3-1).

For the season, James has passed for 3,011 yards and 39 touchdowns. Playoff-bound Mount Pleasant ends its regular season this Friday at Pine Tree.
