It was the quite the night last Friday in Huntington. At the end of it, the Red Devils were celebrating their first district win since 2007, a losing streak that had spanned 34 games. Senior running back Jeremiah Robertson made quite sure of that. CONROE -- Carthage defeated Huntington, 8-5, in Game 1 of its Class 4A regional quarterfinal series Thursday at the Scrap Yard in Conroe. Kacey Maines led the way with a 2-for-3 night, including 3 RBIs and a triple. Pitcher Samantha Clakley also batted 2-for-3 with one RBI.
