Corbin Foster was a big part of a shutout performance from Newton in Week 8.

The linebacker had 20 tackles, five for a loss and two fumble recoveries in the Eagles' 58-0 victory against Garrison. The shutout was Newton's first on the season as it improved to 6-0.

Foster follows Joaquin's Kase Yates, who won the award in Week 7.

Foster leads Newton with 84 tackles this season. The Eagles have a Week 9 matchup with Corrigan-Camden at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Queen Defensive Players of the Week
