For most of the season, the Van Vandals have been using two quarterbacks, but junior Jayton Moffatt had the stage all to himself last Friday night. And he delivered.

Moffatt passed for 300 yards and a touchdowns, and ran for 50 yards and another score in helping the Vandals to a hard-fought 35-28 win over Kilgore.

For his efforts, Moffatt is the ETSN.fm/Dairy Queen Offensive Player of the Week. He follows last week's winner, Carlisle quarterback Gerald Turner.

Moffatt engineered Van's second consecutive district win following his team's loss to top-ranked Carthage in the league opener.

Van (6-2, 2-1 in District 10-4A Division I) plays at Chapel Hill on Friday night.
