It's been quite the regular season for New Boston senior running back Damien Haskins, and it came to a rousing finish last Friday night against Mount Vernon.

The 5-foot-10, 210-pound Haskins rushed for 356 yards and six touchdowns on 26 carries in fifth-ranked New Boston's 56-21 win over Mount Vernon. For the third time this season, Haskins is the ETSN.fm Dairy Queen Offensive Player of the Week.

The star running back, who is committed to Oregon State, won the honor previously for the weeks of Oct. 5 and Oct. 26.

Haskins has rushed for an area-best 2,700 yards and 46 touchdowns. If New Boston reaches the state championship game, Haskins is on pace for 4,050 yards, which would rank among the state's all-time bests.

New Boston (10-0), the champion of District 8-2A Division I, receives a first-round bye. The Lions play Whitesboro or Commerce in a Class 2A Division I Region II area playoff the week of Nov. 23.
